Pair of houses. c1840-50. By Walter Scott. Stucco with
concrete tiled roof. 2-storeyed, each house a double-depth
2-room plan subordinate to the overall symmetrical design.
Symmetrical 4-window range, the centre bays projecting and
pedimented, with recessed side wings, gabled to end elevation.
Added lean-to porches against the rear range on each side. Two
2-pane sash windows in the pedimented central block and a
single 2-pane sash in each narrow bay. Heavy pediment and
cornice with acanthus frieze. The houses form part of the
original development of Clifton Park, laid out by Scott as a
villa estate.
