Pair of houses, now flats. Early C19, altered C20. Sandstone
ashlar with a slate roof. 2 storeys above a basement, and 3
widely-spaced bays with a slightly projecting, and narrower
centre which contains the 2 linked doorways, all under an
eaves cornice with blocking course. The windows have plain
reveals and C20 glazing bar casements, a sill band on the
first floor, and a sunk panel under each window on the ground
floor. The doorways, which have chamfered jambs, are
approached from the front and the side up 5 steps with nosings
and have a recent wooden cornice on 3 brackets. Above the C20
6-panel doors are overlights with glazing bars which form a
lozenge pattern.
