Pair of semi-detached villas, now flats. 1880's by William
Willett. Yellow stock bricks with lavish use of moulded and
incised bricks for cornices, string courses, aprons and
lintels, rendered basement, C20 mansard roof with bay and
dormers and brick ridge and end stacks forming a continuous
wall with windows between. 3 storeys plus attic over basement.
Full-height canted bays to centre with windows over porches to
sides. All sash windows with glazing bars in segmental
openings. Cills carried on shaped brackets. Open rectangular
porches with entablatures carried on part-banded columns.
Doors with overlights and side lights, that to No.52 with C20
canted glazed projection, that to No.54 six-panel. Porches
have railings to sides. Included for group value.
