Sundial and pump. 1815. Pennant and limestone ashlar. Square
plan. Plinth with a lion head and water pipe, over a Pennant
basin; chamfered square shaft with a lantern head, sundial to
one face and heraldic panels to the others, and a bronze flag
on the top. Erected by JS Harford Jnr as the centrepiece to
Blaise Hamlet, and part of this important essay in picturesque
design and planning.
