Former farmhouse, now country house. Mid C17 with early C20
alterations and additions. Coursed rubble with stone dressings to
windows and gabled stone slate roofs with end stone stacks in pairs
with moulded caps and bases. T-shaped plan with C17 block and
addition parallel to road and rear C20 service range. East front
of 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows with 2-storey, 1-window addition
to left forming elevation of 3 unequal gables. Windows are C20
two, 3 and 4-light ovolo-moulded mullions with hoodmoulds and small
pane casements except attic windows and blocked openings above in
main range which are original. Doorway central to main range with
C20 bolection-moulded architrave and part glazed C20 door.
Further C20 door to left addition.
Interior. Tudor-arched fireplace in ground floor room to right;
several stop-chamfered beams; circular newel staircase to spine
passage on first floor; several C17 door frames and plank doors;
original butt-purlin, collar beam roof structure.
