Former farmhouse, now country house. Early C17 with late C17 west
addition. Coursed rubble with stone dressings to windows and
gabled stone slate roofs with stone stacks. L-shaped plan with
early C17 range at right-angles to road and later C17 block
parallel to the west. Two-storey, 3-window core range and 2
storeys and attic, 3-window west front to late C17 block. Windows
to core range are 2-light cavetto-moulded mullions with small
leaded pane casements; windows to later block are 2 and 3-light
ovolo-moulded mullions with small leaded pane casements: strainer
arches over ground and first floor windows, 2 gables to outer attic
windows. Late C19 doorcase with gabled hood on brackets off-
centre to left in core range.
Interior. Extensive restoration retaining chamfered beams, 2
inglenook fireplaces (one in each range), some panelled C17 doors
and butt-purlin, tie-beam roof structure in late C17 block.
