House. C17 with later alterations and C18 wing to rear. Main part to street:
regular coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched tile roof, brick end stack to
left. Stone coping with moulded kneeler to left. 2 storeys plus attic and
basement; 2-window range. 2-light stone-mullioned cellar window and moulded
stone plinth. Ground floor has a renewed wood-mullioned and transomed window
with fragmentary remains of a hood mould. To right a 3-light stone-mullioned
window with hood mould and fragmentary label stops. First floor has 2 renewed
wood-mullioned and transomed windows. Plinth. 2-light stone-mullioned window to
cellar. 2 roof dormers. Rear: renewed door to left. 2 stone-mullioned windows to
both ground and attic floors with fragmentary remains of hood moulds. Rear wing:
C18 ashlar ironstone. Slate roof. Brick end stack. 2 storeys; 4-window range.
Panelled door with overlight is flanked by renewed wood-mullioned and transomed
windows with keystoned heads. 4 renewed wood-mullioned and transomed windows to
first floor have continuous wooden lintel. Stone band at first floor.
Outbuilding and barn to left: single storey and attic. Ironstone with asbestos
roof. 5 bays. Collar truss roof. Interior not inspected. Photograph in N.M.R.
