House, now health centre. Late C16/C17, remodelled C20. Regular coursed
ironstone ashlar and render, stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses, brick
shafts on stone bases to ends. 2 storeys plus attic; 2-window range. L-plan.
Central doorway has part-glazed door with overlight. Doorway is flanked by
3-light and a 4-light stone-mullioned windows with hood moulds and label stops.
First floor has a 2-light and 4-light stone-mullioned window with hood mould and
label stops. Gable fronted bay to left has C20 window. Gabled roof dormer to
right. Interior: stone fireplaces with chamfered bressumers. C16/C17 dog-leg
staircase, with heavy carved balusters. The C20 brick extensions are not of
special architectural interest.
