Pair of houses. 1833-40. Red brick in Flemish bond, slate
roof. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted,
halls-adjoining. Two storeys and cellar, 3 windows at 1st
floor (the centre blind); round-headed doorways (up steps)
with panelled doors and fanlights with radiating glazing bars;
16-pane sashed windows (except at ground floor of No.5 which
is a 12-pane replacement). Gable chimneys. Rear and interior
not inspected. History: part of small speculative development
by flour-dealer who acquired the site of Moon Grove in 1833;
forms group with No.4 (q.v.) and No.6 (q.v.).
