House, now offices. Early C19. Flemish-bond brick walls and
plinth, stone cills, slate mansard roof. Double-depth plan. 3
storeys with attics; 4-window range. 3 raking dormers with
2-light casement windows. Gauged flat arches; 3/6-pane sash
windows to the second floor, plate-glass sashes to the left of
both lower floors, the right-of-centre door is below a
6/6-pane sash with a late C19 horned plate-glass tripartite
sash to right; horned 2/2-pane sash to first-floor right.
Steps up to the 6-panel door, raised-and-fielded panels with
beaded panels to the base and an ornamental fanlight which is
set in a gauged semicircular arch. To left of the door a late
C19 cast-iron bootscraper is set into the wall, to right are 2
openings to a semi-basement. INTERIOR not inspected. Clearly
designed in the same style and of the same date as the late
Georgian development around King Square (qv).
