House. C16, early C20 refenestration, late C20 renovation.
Timber-framed with C20 basket pargetting, peg-tiled roof.
Rectangular plan but with single storey addition round part of
rear yard. 2 storeys. Front S elevation: tall narrow 2 window
range, all 3 window early C20, roll moulded frames, central
stiles, 2-lights with glazing bars, 4x4 panes. Doorway also
moulded with boarded door, upper glazed panes. Rear N
elevation: partly obscured but has stack recessed in at W end
with lean-to roof, first floor casement window, below, to E,
first floor 2-light casement window with glazing bars, 4x3
panes. Flat roofed 2-light dormer window above. Below, deep
slate roofed ground floor lean-to. E end: frame of house seen
in No.17 (qv). Jetty construction with front now cut back
flush. Also, end of collar purlin of crown-post roof evident.
The house is a part of a once longer, long-jettied block with
axis parallel to the street.
