Detached cottage. Circa 1700. English bond brick with stone
quoins, Welsh slate roof, formerly thatched with coped verges and
gable end brick stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Central ledged and
studded door in cyma-moulded surround with flat stone hood on
brackets, 3-light cyma-mullioned casement either side. Moulded
string course over lintels; first floor has 3-light mullioned
casement either side of 2-light mullioned casement over door.
Right return has C20 fixed window to attic. Left return has C20
casement to ground floor and attic. Rear has late C19 two-storey
brick wing with sashes, and C20 first floor extension of earlier
wing with casements.
Interior has chamfered beams with ogee stops, blocked open
fireplace with lintel on stone jambs, planked doors. Parlour has
C18 cupboard with shaped shelves, panelled doors and round arch on
pilasters. First floor has reset chip-carved overmantel in south
room, north room has wall cupboard with turned balusters to door
panels.
