Farmhouse. Early C17, altered C18. Square-panelled timber-framing
on stone plinth, rebuilt in brick with chamfered stone quoins,
thatched roof with half-hips to C17 range. T-plan, entrance now in
C18 brick wing to rear of C17 range. Two-storey, 2-window south
front has planked door and single-light casement below thatched
hood to right, 3-light casement to left. First floor has two 2-
light casements. C17 range to east has timber-framing retained to
west side only, 2-light ground floor casement, south gable has 2-
light casements to brick wall. East front rebuilt C18 has two 12-
pane sashes in stone architraves flanking blocked doorway to ground
floor, two ovolo-mullioned casements either side of elliptically-
headed sash with keystone and imposts to first floor, north gable
in rubble stone, external stone stack. C20 extensions to rear.
Interior of C17 range has deep chamfered beams with stepped stops,
blocked open fireplace at north gable, winding stairs to south west
corner. First floor has chamfered cross beams in bedrooms,
timber-framed partitions, planked doors. Jowled main posts and
chamfered wall plate with bar stops retained to west side of
timber-frame.
