Two semi-detached cottages. Mid C17, altered early C18. English
garden wall bond brick, partly pebble-dashed, single roman tiled
roof with hip to left and half-hip to right, brick stack to left of
centre. Two-storey, 3-window east front. No 1 has planked door in
lean-to porch to left with 2-light wave-mullioned casement to
right; No 2 has 2-light and 3-light cyma-mullioned casements to
right. First floor has 2-light mullioned casement to No 1 and 2-
light and 3-light to No 2, 1722 on oval datestone to right. Right
return has entrance to No 2 in C20 porch attached to C20 two-storey
extension, part rubble stone wall to main range, 3-light wooden
mullioned window to attic. Rear has lean-to former wash-houses to
ground floor, C18 two-storey wing to No 1.
Interior of No 2 retains deep chamfered beam with runout stops,
reset timber lintel to open fireplace, reset late C19 stairs.
