Third quarter of C19. 2 pairs in Tudor style. Each house 2 storeys, 3
windows. Very high pitched roofs, with tall chimneys, Nos 5 and 7 red
tiled, Nos 9 and 11 slated. Nos 5 and 7 in red brick with diaper of blue
headers, Nos 9 and 11 in brownish stock brick, all with stone dressings, ie
quoins, alternating block window surrounds and stone mullions to windows.
Windows two - and three light casements, those of Nos 5 and 7 with Tudor
arches. Gabled centre bays with mock arrow slits. Recessed outer bays have
doors with Tudor heads under square hoodmoulds. Ground floor canted bay
windows have cornices with gargoyles (some missing).
Nos 1 to 11 (odd) form a group.
