After 1898. A R Hennell, architect to Lewisham Board of Works. Monument
to Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. Stone arch in baroque style, on
canted plan, has cornice with egg and dart moulding and crested pediment.
Scrolled side buttresses. Arch filled with polished, inscribed granite
slab. The arch rests on plinth of polished grey granite holding segmental
basin on corbel. Basin now filled with plants.
