Town house, now 2 houses with shops. Mid/late C19 or
refronting or remodelling of that date on a C16 site. Stucco
on studwork to front; roof hidden behind moulded parapet;
brick end stacks. Double-depth plan front plus 2 deep wings at
right-angles to rear. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Mid/late C19
four-pane hornless sashes to 2nd floor over canted oriel bays
with moulded cornices and similar sashes to 1st floor. Ground
floor has late C19 three-light shop front with panelled
consoles to sloping fascia to No.7 (left) and double shop
front of similar date on the right; passage doorway left of
centre with panelled reveals with round-arched top panels;
3-panel door and margin-paned overlight with coloured glass;
left-hand shop window with carved heads to slender mullions,
other shop with leaded diamond panes over transom. INTERIOR
not inspected but likely to be of interest.
