Experimental smallholder's dwelling. 1919-20, for the Board of
Agriculture and Fisheries. Smooth rendered cob with rounded
corners on tarred brick sill. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys, 2
bays, with single storey wing containing entrance, a bead-moulded
door. Paned timber windows with tile drip and no sills. Later
extension to rear. Roof hipped and stacks rendered. One of the
second group of experimental houses built to achieve economies in
construction.
