Part of inn at time of listing, 1826 as dated on building. Red brick. Hipped slated roof with
internal chimneys of red brick. Three storeys. Six windows. Small-pane sashes, with flat arches of finely-gauged brick. Central entrance doorway with six- panelled door, reeded architrave, blind semi-circular fanlight. To left is a second doorway with identical features, but the painted radiating bars of a dummy fanlight are visible; and the opening has been adapted for a small-pane sash in C20. Both doorways have painted raised springing stones, one pair carved with 1826, MD and the other 1826, BD. To right is a tall carriage entrance with an elliptical arched head of finely-gauged brick.
