House. Dated 1637, restored mid C20. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated
stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Lobby-entrance plan. Quoins. C20
board door bay 2, a moulded edge to quoined jambs and lintel. Recessed
chamfered mullion windows with raised lintels throughout, of 5, 3 and
3 lights to ground floor and 3, 1, 3 and 3 lights above. Gable copings.
The large square sundial built on the left kneeler obscured by ivy at time
of resurvey. Shaped kneeler to right; large banded ridge stack above the
door and to right. Interior: central rear door within C20 kitchen has
chamfered quoined jambs and lintel inscribed: "TC 1637"; blocked first-floor
door to right. Bay 3: large fireplace with ovolo-moulded surround and
cambered arch.
