One building, two separate houses with ground floor shop fronts.
Probably early C18. Random coursed rubble stone with moulded stone
cornice to top of parapet. Asbestos slate roof behind and to rear
of Acacia House (on right), stone slate roof to rear of Gloucester
House, rear lateral large stone stack on junction of 2 properties
raised in brick. Single main range of 3 storeys, with small rear
extension of 2 storeys with catslide roof from main roof. Five
windows, 12-pane sashes with timber lintels and flush sash boxes on
both floors, centre ones blind with painted glazing bars, and
continuous dripmould above lintels on first floor, blind windows up
to right hand end being Acacia House on upper floors, shop front
of Gloucester House extends underneath up to last window bay.
Ground floor has C19 shop front to Gloucester House with moulded
wood cornice, central C20 door and flanking curved plate glass
windows with small end pilasters and small square end bays.
Additional large projecting bay to right. All on ashlar plinth.
Small plate glass window and C20 door to Acacia House. Rear lean-
to on Gloucester House has blocked former 3-light stone mullion
with square hoodmould on first floor.
