House in row. Mid/late C18. Ashlar front, with chamfered
rustication on ground floor, on plinth, with rubble stone to
remainder, tile roof behind large pediment across whole width with
moulded modillion cornice and small lunette in centre. Single
range, 3 storeys and attic. Three windows, 6-pane sashes to second
floor, 12-pane to first floor with continuous sill band. Plat band
below. Ground floor has 2 plate glass sashes and door to right of
4 panels, top 2 glazed, lower 2 fielded, with decorative margin
glazed transom light, each opening with large chamfered keystone
and flanking single voussoirs. Cornice continues on both returns.
Interior has exposed ancient coffin lid as part of party wall with
Acacia House (q.v.) on first floor. King post roof exposed on
linked attic and second floors.
