Lodge in Gothick style, early C19th. Sandstone rubble with overhanging stone
slate roof with carved bargeboards. 1½ storeys, 2 bays, with central gabled
porch with carved bargeboards. Windows have plain reveals and pointed heads,
under which glazing bars form Y-tracery. Right-hand window has 4 small panes
below head, left-hand window now a single pane. Porch has doorway with
hollow-chamfered stone surround and pointed head. Above it is a stone carved
with a blank loophole. Chimney to left of porch, set back behind ridge.
Left-hand (north) gable wall has a window on each floor with plain reveals and
pointed head. C.F. Oak Cottage, Quernmore Road.
