House, 1819. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. 1½ storeys, 2 bays.
Windows have plain reveals and pointed heads with intersecting glazing bars
above modern casements. The central doorway is treated similarly, with
gothick details: a tympanum has intersecting ribs. The door has diagonal
ribs, intersecting in a diamond pattern. Above is a plaque inscribed:
'TME 1819 Oak cottage'. The eaves overhang at the front and have a bargeboard
carved to form pendants. Right-hand gable chimney. The left-hand gable wall
has a window under the apex similar to those at the front. C.F. Gresgarth
