Chest tomb. Dated 1788 in memory of Mary Fellowes. Portland stone with grey
basalt lid and white marble plaques. Rectangular in plan with a flat lid with
moulded edges and moulded base. The sides are panelled and the end corners are
recessed containing a fluted pilaster with gadrooned base and moulded cap. The
west end contains an oval inscribed marble plaque recording the death of S Coulson
Fellowes in 1769. The tomb is surrounded by a low Portland stone wall in which the
coping includes the setting for iron area railings, now removed.
