House. C17 or earlier, with C19 extensions and C20 alterations. Timber
framing and random ironstone rubble, with kitchen extension of squared
ironstone rubble with brick dressings. Brick lean-to, gables and
stacks. Concrete tile roof; clay pantiles to extensions. House has
end-stack entry plan, two and a half bays of timber frame (perhaps
originally larger). 2 storeys, 2 first floor windows. Plank door on
right under segmental brick arch. Large C20 bay window and casement
under wooden lintel to left. Casements above. A vertical strip of
brick infill in the rubble wall marks the position of a wall post; a
horizontal timber is visible at ground floor left. Cogged brick
cornice, tumbled brick gables and end stacks. Kitchen extension to
right, single storey with attic, 2 bays, has plank door and casement
under segmental arches, and end stack. Lean-to on left has plank door
and casement. Interior of house has ground floor ovolo-moulded ceiling
beam with flat and tongue stops. First floor has exposed sections of
3 arch-braced tie beams with central portions removed.
