House. Late 1830's. Part of a group laid out by John Shepherd, a Howden
joiner. Brick in English garden wall bond, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys,
2 first-floor windows. Half glazed door beneath overlight in doorcase with
plain jambs and consoles holding dosserets and hood. Sash with glazing bars
to right. Board door beneath round arch leading to passage to extreme
right. First floor: sashes with glazing bars. Channelled wedge lintels
with panelled dropped keystones to all windows. Windows to left, which
balance the facade, belong to No 7 Bishopgate (qv). Paired brackets hold
