House. Early C18. Red brick, with mottled appearance due to random
arrangement of flared headers. Half-hipped C20 tile roof. 2 storey and
attics rectangular block. Stands gable end towards road, at junction with
Duck Lane, its principal elevation visible from some distance southwards along
George Street. S elevation: 5 window facade, all sashes with glazing bars
under gauged brick flat heads. Ground floor windows retain heavy glazing
bars. Attic has 2 box dormers containing 2-light casements. Central
doorway has 6-panel door, simply moulded architrave and modillion cornice
hood. Red brick stacks to rear elevation. Road gable: one sash window with
glazing bars per floor, again with gauged brick heads.
