Mile-post. Late C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan. Left-hand side: hand
pointing right and "RICHMOND 2 MILES". Right-hand side: hand pointing left
and "LUCY CROSS 6 MILES". On top, "RICHMOND HD" (Highways Division). Dates
from after the Highways Act of 1888. The hands have been attached later,
and are not cast on. Possibly not in its original position, having been
moved further north.
