Garden temple. Mid-late C18. Probably for Sir Lawrence Dundas. Ashlar and
rubble sandstone, stone slate roof. Tetrastyle prostyle temple with
semicircular rear wall. Ashlar portico set on base, with Roman Doric
columns carrying Roman Doric frieze and pediment, on the apex of which is
the base for a finial. Entablature returns to half columns, and cornice is
continued around curving rear rubble wall, above which is pitched roof.
