Farmhouse, probably 1707 with additions. Coursed rubble with stone slate roof and
stone ridge. Two storeys and 2 bays. Quoins, coping and kneelers. Two chimneys.
The windows have square surrounds with a double quirked roll, but the mullions are
chamfered. They are of 3, 2 and 2 lights to ground floor and 3 and 5 lights (the
central one stepped) to first floor. Some quoins form a straight joint between the
upper windows. There are 2 doorways. The rear is pebble-dashed and has similar
windows. Inside upstairs there is a small stone fireplace with heavy mantel on the
cyma cornice. This is lettered "EGMG 1707" perhaps for the Garforths.
