Hall house, now cottage. Late C15, altered C17 and C20. Timber framed,
partly encased in brick; exposed at rear with brick infill. Old tile
gabled roof. Rectangular plan of 3 framed bays at right angles to the
road, former hall in centre and formerly jettied on road side. 2 storeys.
Large inserted chimney with clay pots on rear roof slope. Road front:-
Dentilled eaves. Two, 3-light leaded casements on each floor; segmental
heads on ground floor and with entrance door between and C20 reproduction
of C18 pedimented porch. Interior:- fine quality frame exposed. Large
principal beam with large chamfer, and large joists in first bay.
Inglenook fireplace with large moulded beam over opening. Queen post roof
exposed on first floor with curved windbraces. Jowled posts. Part of an
old doorway with 4-centred arched head, remains under stairs.
