Hall house, now 2 cottages. Early C16, extended C19 and altered mid C20.
Part brick, part timber framed with brick infill, old tile gabled roof.
L-plan of 3 framed bays, former hall in centre, with extension at rear;
formerly jettied on road front, now underbuilt in brick. 2 storeys.
Ridge chimney to right of centre. Irregular front, with moulded beam
under first floor windows, probably re-positioned from former jetty beam.
No. 68 has two, C20, 2-light casement windows with glazing bars and C20
panelled entrance door flanked by 2 fluted pilasters and with a flat
hood. No.70 has 2 pairs of C20 2-light casements on first floor, 2,
3-light on ground floor, all leaded; C20 panelled entrance door on right
under small tiled lean-to hood. Interior:- part timber frame visible,
plain principal beams with large plain joists on end framed bay, ground
floor of No.70. Jowled posts and long arch braces on first floor.
