Cottage. Early C17, altered mid C20. Timber framed, partly covered in
vertical tile hanging, partly underbuilt in painted brick. Frame
partly exposed at rear with brick infill. Old tile gabled roof. L-plan
of 2 x 1 framed bays and with small one bay stair turret at rear. Probably
jettied on road front. 2 storeys and attic. Central ridge chimney on
left hand part. Road front:-First floor tile hung. Gable on right; C20
casement windows with glazing bars; one 2-light in attic, one 2 and one
3-light on first floor, two 2-light on ground floor with plain C20
entrance door-on left of gable. Left hand part similar windows and tile
hanging. Interior:- part of timber frame exposed; principal beams with
chamfers an stepped stops. Butt purlin roof with constant principal rafters
and straight windbraces.
