2/261 Double gate c40m north-west of
Westcote Manor
GV II
Double gate. C18 Italian. Wrought iron. Piers and wall either
side C20, not of special interest. Main motif at the centre of
each gate comprises a shield from behind which various weapons and
trumpets project. The gates otherwise comprise intricate
scrollwork incorporating finely worked roses. Brought from
Compton's Brow, Horsham (house now demolished).
