Balustrading, wall, wrought iron gate and granary clOm north-east
of Westcote Manor. Stone balustrading C18. Gate C18 Italian.
Granary late C18. Wall mid C20. Wall and granary coursed squared
and dressed limestone, the latter with a stone slate roof. The
balustrading runs parallel to the garden front of the C18 range to
join a 3-sided walled garden with the granary at the west corner.
Balustrading with low pedestals ornamented by lead urns. Wall c2m
high interrupted by two gates, one with finely executed floral
wrought ironwork within a round-headed archway. The other gate
comprises plain scrollwork. Granary; 1½ storeys (partially
rebuilt C20) with wide plank door and a fixed 9-pane casement in
the side facing away from the house. Access to loft via a plank
door in one gable end. Blocked pitching window in the opposite
gable end (facing the garden) with pigeon holes inserted in the
blocking. Balustrading brought from Bowood, Wiltshire, C20. Gates
originally sited in Compton's Brow, Horsham (house now demolished).
