Detached house. Mid C17, extended and altered late C18-early C19.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Late C18-early C19 range at
rear painted brick. Artificial stone slate roof with ashlar
stacks, now reduced in height. 'T'-shaped plan to main body with
1½ storey lean-to rear right and late C18-early C19 kitchen range
at right angles rear left. Two storeys and attic lit by four gabled
2-light roof dormers with leaded panes. Symmetrical, 5-windowed
facade with 2-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with
stopped hoods to first floor. Four 2-light steel casements with
leaded panes to ground floor. Projecting central C19 porch with
four-panelled front door with upper panels glazed within a flat-
chamfered surround with a flattened ogee curved head. Hollow-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements to stairs projection. Flat
coping at gable ends of main body. Gable-end stacks.
Interior; open fireplace with bressumer beam, small single-light
to with flat-chamfered stone surround to right of the fireplace.
Moulded Tudor-arched stone fireplace. Fine two-flight C17 open-
well staircase with barley-twist balusters within stairs
projection.
