Pair of semi-detached houses. 1908. By Percy Houfton for the Brodsworth
Colliery Company. Exposed brick to ground floor, roughcast above; later
cement-tile root, 2 storeys 2 : 2 windows to 1st floor; reflected pair.
Wooden casements with glazing bars throughout. No. 47 (an left) has boarded
door beneath canopy with curved brackets; flanked by a window of 3 lights on
left and of 4-lights on right; tile dripcourse. lst floor: two 4-light
windows with tile dripcourse beneath gable decorated with motif of squares,
No. 45 the same but handed. End stacks corbelled from the gables (that to
left with dentilled top removed); matching central ridge stack. Part of
Woodlands colliery village (see under Church of All Saints, Central Avenue).
