Farmhouse. Late C18. Red brick in Flemish bond, C20 slate roof. 3
storeys, 3 bays. 2 steps up to central 6-panel door with 3-pane overlight
set in moulded architrave. Ground and first floors have tall sashes with
glazing bars. Second floor: 6-pane sashes. All windows have stone sills
and flat brick arches with keystones. Moulded stone cornice. End stacks,
roof hipped. Interior: mostly unchanged; hall with diamond shaped
flagstones and large stick baluster open-well staircase. Front ground and
firstfloorrocm retain original Neoclassical fire surrounds, generally all
fireplaces have fluted frieze with central swag and urn to each side and
dentilled cornice; one upstairs retains its original grate. 6 panelled
doors throughout, one to ground floor with egg and dart moulding to inner
face.
