Laithehouse. Early-mid C19. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated stone
slate roof. Quoins. Long range composed of 2-storey, 2-bay house to left
and barn with byre on right. House: central 4-panel door in quoined
surround, flanked by 4-pane sashes with stone lintels and projecting sills
on each floor. Laithe: cart entrance on left has board double doors,
quoined jambs and splayed voussoirs to flat arch. Byre door on right has
quoined jambs forming corner on right. Slit vents above and to left of byre
door. Shaped kneelers, ashlar gable coping. End stacks to house. A rare
survival of a characteristic small farm of this period.
