8/30 Mill House

GV II

Mill house. C17 largely rebuilt early C19. Tooled gritstone, stone slate
roof. 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Central C20 glazed door in sawn-
stone surround. Flanking and first-floor windows have C20 frames and sawn-
stone surrounds with projecting sills. Ground-floor right window lowered
for French window. End stacks, that to left heightened to rise above ridge
of attached mill range (qv). Rear: outshuts added early C19 with C20
windows and dormers. Right return: remains of projecting stone stack.
