House, the only survivor of a row of cottages; and stable. Mid
C18. Roughly-coursed squared sandstone; pantiled roof with stone
copings and kneelers, brick and stone stacks. 2 storeys, 2 windows.
Central boarded door in flush alternating-block surround. Tripartite
windows, with central opening section, in chamfered surrounds,
probably lost mullions. Block kneelers; swept roof with corniced
left end chimney and rebuilt brick right end chimney.
Small stable at left, of similar materials but without gable
copings or kneelers, belongs to Mr. Gates at the Post Office and
is included for group value.
