House, early C18, of brown brick with graded grey slate roof. 2
storeys plus attics; 5 windows. Slightly projecting pedimented
central bay has replaced oak door in simply-moulded painted stone case
with keystone; 4 stone steps. First floor stone band; eaves cornice;
flush quoins of dark red brick. 12-pane flush sashes under flat
gauged-brick arches with projecting keystones; projecting stone cills.
Flush, diminishing shaped chimney of brick on each gable. Recessed
l-storey gabled wing of 1 room to each side, partly concealed by
wing-walls rising in a quadrant step to main block and terminating in
piers capped with urn on cornice. A handsome facade. Rear somewhat
altered.
Interior: Doors of 6 fielded panels painted but probably of oak;
dogleg stair with turned newel and 2 turned balusters per step between
ground and 1st floor; largely replaced between 1st floor and attic.
