Farm building comprising barn, cartshed etc, probably mid C18 altered
by the Arley Estate late C19. English garden wall bond brown
brickwork; grey slate roof, left portion graded. Barn has central
threshing porch with full-height doorless opening flanked by brick
piers carrying chamfered oak lintel; stone-flag threshing floor.
Small inserted casement left of porch; 4-centred rebated archway and
small inserted casement right of porch; 4 diamond-shaped vents to
left; 2 oval stone-lined pitching-eyes. Recessed right-wing, probably
mid C19, has cart doorway with reused oak lintel, boarded door in
4-centred arch and inserted casement; boarded loading door in rebated
opening with cambered cill and head. 2 rows of 3 and 1 row of 2
diamond-shaped vents in left gable-end.
Interior: Divided door in left cross-wall of threshing porch;
round-arched openings to granaries; oak purlins.
The building forms left side of cobbled forecourt to Parkmoss
farmhouse q.v.
