Farmhouse. Late C15/early C16; altered late C16/early C17 and C18. Rubble;
thatched roof with overhanging eaves, some stone slates to rear; rendered stacks.
Open hall house, possibly a longhouse; L plan with hall and pantry to east and
contemporary rear service wing. South elevation, raised in C18, single storey
and attics in 'eyebrow' dormers. 3 bays, the centre projects slightly; mixture
of 16-pane glazing bar sash windows and 2-light casements. Two outer C20 doors.
2-light casement window with small square wooden mullions to east gable and
centre of rear elevation. Single storey rear wing. Interior: stop chamfered
beams; kitchen fireplace with stop chamfered ashlar jambs; 3 tie beam trusses
in the roof, evidence of windbraces in the rear wing, considerable evidence of
smoke blackening. (Hall L, The Rural Houses of North Avon and South
