1/12 Manor Farm House

Farmhouse, circa 1870, built as part of the Peckforton Estate. Red
brick with tile roof. 2 Storeys, 3 bays including slightly projecting
gable. Stone plinth. Studded door with false strap hinges and
rectangular transome light above. The door is in a brick porch, with
side lights, which has chamfered corner posts with arch bracing to the
head. The porch roof is gabled with timbers, brick infilling and
finial. 2-to-4-light Tollemache-style hexagonal cast iron lozenge
windows with cambered arches and turning pieces at ground floor, and
in gable and two gabled half dormers at first floor level. Gable and
dormer apexes contain timbers but there is also brickwork painted to
resemble timber. Shaped purlin ends and finials. Chimneys are square
divided flues rising from weathered stone bands at ridge level.
