House. Initialled and dated " T E " (Thomas and Elizabeth Topham,
1733
a tanner). Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. Quoins. 2 storeys.
2-room front with rear wings at right angles. 3-bay symmetrical facade.
Doorway with fanlight has wooden doorcase added mid C20 with fluted
pilasters and open pediment over which is date plaque set in cable-
moulded surround. Single window over to 1st floor. 4-light flat-
faced mullioned windows with raised stone surrounds the mullions recessed
and with inner chamfer. Coped gables with kneelers. Central stack.
Rear has 2 coped gables with kneelers and 3-light windows with 2-light
window at mezzanine level to light stair.

Interior: Lobby-entry against fire-stack. Westernmost room has fine
segmental-arched fireplace formed by 2 stones and joggled keystones,
raised panelled jambs with cyma-moulded surround.
