Barn. Probably C17. Internal timber framing, irregularly coursed
rubble sandstone, stone slate roof. 4 bays, set into slope, cowhouse
beneath hayloft at downhill end, Cart entrance to right of centre,
no doors, Cowhouse door to left end with 2 other square openings.
Further openings in left return. Interior: 4 roughly formed and poorly
curved cruck pairs, the uphill pair built into the end wall, the downhill
end cruck with cowhouse bay beyond. Wall ties, collar beneath apex.
Single purlins, some windbraces. Cruck ends abut diagonal-set ridge.
Generally in poor condition with one cruck blade sawn off and supported
on a high stone column, a brick column below one tie beam, The roof
of the uphill bay collapsed completely.
