13/92 Hall Broom Farmhouse


GV II


Farmhouse. Door lintel IS 1620 WM. Deeply coursed, squared gritstone,
stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows to first floor, short projecting
wing to rear left. Chamfered plinth, large quoins. Doorway to right
with ovolo-moulded quoined reveals and flat-pointed lintel. C20 panelled
door inserted to left of centre flanked by sash windows with margin lights
inserted into former multiple-light mullion window surrounds, intact
hoodmould to each window. 3 similar sashes to first floor inserted
into altered double-chamfered surrounds. Moulded kneelers, square-cut
gable copings. Ashlar end stacks, another ridge stack to right.
Rear: left return of wing has 2-light double-chamfered window to ground
floor and 2 single lights above, other altered double-chamfered openings
to main range and wing. Moulded kneelers and gable copings to wing.
Left return: 3-light ground floor window and 4-light first floor window
to wing, both double-chamfered, mullions removed. Shed attached to
rear wing not of special interest.
