Cottage C17, refronted early C19 and extended to left on upper storey
mid C20. Painted brick with clay tile roof. Originally an oak-framed
lobby-entrance cottage of 3 cells and 1½ storeys; door moved,
probably C19; small wood casements of 4 and 6 panes, of C19 vernacular
type; part-glazed framed and boarded door. The roof is lower over
right bay, with sprocketed dormer. 2 ridge chimneys; that to right,
behind former position of entrance, is massive within the house.
Interior: Chamfered oak beams on lower storey; rough oak purlins in
right bedrooms.
